session prep!


Looking forward to our session at Armory Pickleball.

Here are a couple of ideas for you as we approach our session:

  1. Note down the entry code that I emailed you. You will use it to gain entry into the facility. Please pass it along to all participants.
  2. Ponder on your goal for the session. I am very adaptable and will try and put focus on that goal.
  3. Bring liquids and a ready attitude for leveling up!
  4. If you are not an Amory Pickleball member, please bring $10 cash and arrive a few minutes early to fill out a liability form.

Please have my cell phone at the ready for any last minute updates or concerns. Grab that from the email I sent you.

Below is a reminder of what we will be doing in our session together:

Our 1.5 hours look like this:

– 15-minute Warm up – 

Byrd will look at each players grip, body mechanics, and approach to the ball and suggest adjustments for each individual as well as the group.

– 60 minutes of Game Play –

Players will take turns teaming up with Byrd for 20 minutes in play against the other 2 players. Byrd will give direct and focused instruction to his partner, introducing advanced tactics, assessing shot selection and making small to large adjustments to the player’s physical and mental approach to a game of pickleball.

– 15-minute Cool Down –

We will discuss and highlight aspects of the session. Byrd will suggest drills and training principles for continued improvement.
